Editing Style | Boudoir Photography | South Shore, MA | Kimberly Ann Empowerment Photography, LLC.

Once you finally decide that you want to book a Boudoir Session, you’re left with finding the perfect photographer for you. There are many things to look at when booking the right photographer for you. Editing styles are just one of the main things to consider when browsing portfolios.

For me, when it comes to editing my boudoir clients, I feel that LESS is MORE. I just heard a little voice yell at me when writing that. All your insecurties are going: Wait! NO! You’ll see THIS and THIS and THAT?!

HEAR ME OUT! The reason I specialize in Boudoir/Empowerment style photography is because I truly believe in the healing it can bring women. If that’s my goal, how would you feel when I returned a gallery of images of you that don’t really look like you. Oversmoothed skin, no laugh lines, altered bodies, etc. It would do the opposite in healing.. you’d see all the things I changed about you and think that you aren’t good enough in your own skin. NO THANK YOU. That is NOT what we do here at KAEP. We’re all about showing you how to love who you are. As you are.

If there is something you are super self-conscious about; of course; bring it up and we can work together. Generally, my editing involves removing temporary things only. Blemishes, bruises and even goosebumps, etc. Again, I always discuss your want and needs from our session prior to our shoot day.

Left is the Raw Images (completely unedited) and Right is the edited. I adjusted the lighting, warmth and some blemishes, and we were good to go!
